Meet Dr. Guy

Dr. Guy was born and raised in the east end of Toronto. He is
one of four children from parents of Jamaican origin. He attended the University
of Toronto before his acceptance to dental school at University of Western
Ontario (UWO) where he received his dental degree in 1991. While at UWO he went
through the dental officer-training program with the Canadian Armed Forces.
Upon graduation Dr. Guy was posted to CFB North Bay (22 Wing) where he practiced
for four years. He began practicing dentistry at this location in May 1996,
purchasing the practice from Dr. T.E. Johns. Dr. Guy and the staff have
enthusiastically implemented many changes including computerization, renovation
of the office, and introduction of new technology for improved patient care. Dr.
Guy believes in on-going training and continuing education for him and his
staff. Dr. Guy attends an Orthodontic Study Club three times a year where he is.
mentored by Dr. Bernard Garcia. Other continuing education credits include:
local anaesthesia, sedation, dentistry for children, cosmetics, TMD treatment,
implants and periodontics among other credits. He has also studied the Concept
of Complete Dentistry under Dr. Peter Dawson.
Dr. Guy and his wife Carolyn are kept very busy with their three children. In
addition, he takes an active interest in the community. He is an active member
with his church, and the local Dental Association. He and his staff have also
done volunteer dentistry in Jamaica. Dr. Guy is an outdoor enthusiast where he
enjoys canoeing, fishing and camping. He stays fit by weight lifting, biking,
running and playing basketball and hockey. He is a big Toronto sports fan and
hopes in his lifetime the Leafs will once again drink from Lord Stanley’s cup.
